SOS HGS Gandaki Marks National Children's Day
SOS HGS Gandaki celebrated National Children's Day by organizing Primary Level Talent Show in order to foster the hidden talents of students. The program was chaired by the school principal Mr. Rajendra Kumar Shrestha and was graced by the chief guest Mr. Bhagat Kumar Shrestha, project director of SOS CV Gandaki. The program was started with the welcome speech of vice-principal Mr. Chudamani Subedi. The show was inaugurated by the chief guest and chairperson together. The contest was divided into two categories: Pre-Primary and Primary level. There were 26 different items performed by the students of classes nursery to two. Likewise, the primary level ie. classes three to five comprised 21 items like songs, dances, dramas, caricatures, etc. and other show performances. Among the Pre-Primary level contentents, Rosemary Khadki from grade one stood the first in the show,Susanna Tamang from grade one stood second, Sambid Dhungana grade one and Sammi Gurung grade two received the third prize and Aayush Gajurel from grade one was awarded with consolation prize. Moreover, among the Primary level competitors, Smriti Dhakal from class five won the first prize, Bibhuti Pandey from class five stood the second position, Bidhya Parajuli from grade four and Nimble Paudel from class five received the third prize and consolation prize was awarded to Roji Bhujel form grade four. Mrs. Sabina Gurung and Mrs. Sangita Ale were the judge of the show.
A huge number of parents along with their children witnessed the show. The program itself was a grand success. The cash prizes and certificates were given away to the winners by the chairperson and chief guest together. Addressing the function the chief guest opinated that the rights of the children should be ensured for prosperous nation. He added that no child should be the victim of discrimination on any regards. He even imparted the good wishes to all the children on the occasion of National Children's Day. The chairperson of the program and school principal Mr. Shrestha congratulated all the winners and the participants for their gracious performances and also shared the good wishes on the occasion of National Children's Day. Furthermore, he congratulated all the concerned bodies for receiving the National Education Award 2076 B.S. from the Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal on the occasion of National Education Day observed on 22nd Bhadra in Kathmandu.
